I am Shibbypod, a competitive gamer from Michigan, USA. I am the current World Champion of Wave Race 64, since May 2014. Q: How long have you been playing Wave Race? A: I played it a ton when I was a kid. I mostly just played for fun, driving around the courses and doing jumps and learning about the water physics. I think a lot of that is what made me good. However my study of this game started in late 2012. Q: What system do you play Wave Race on? A: I play on a Japanese Shindou (rumble) NTSC cartridge for N64. I have a US N64 so I have modded the cartridge with a red N64 game's cartridge so it fits no my system. I use a red cartridge (from a spiderman game). Q: What kind of controller do you use? How do you hold it? A: I currently favor the original N64 controller. I use a rubber band to hold Z down, and I use a classic grip (Left hand on the middle prong, right hand on the right) - I am also very comfortable with no rubber band, and using the A button as the gas. Q: What are your fastest times? A: They are available at speedrun.com/wr64 Q: Why do you not have many followers? A: Wave Race is too awesome for most people to watch. Q: What other games do you play? A: I like to play many of the Zelda Games, Tony Hawk 2, SSB 64, Super Mario 64, Goldeneye, and I am also a 40 line speedrunner in Tetris which I will occasionally stream.

In Super Smash Bros. Melee, I have been ranked in the top 10 in Michigan on the official Michigan Melee Power Rankings in 2014 I have been a small time Tournament Organizer in Michigan for most of my career, hosting series such as Revival of Midland, Smash Attic, Midland Melee Summer Championships and Fall Classics, and more recently Shibbyfests and Shibbyfest Ultimate. Shibbyfest Ultimate is a bi-weekly tournament series that I host during the Summer of 2019, and features Smash 64, Melee, and Ultimate, as well as competitors local and state wide for all games.
