Hey, Thanks for checking out my channel!!! My name is Steven K Smith (aka SKS Props) I am a full time artist, illustrator, and prop / costume maker. I'm here to improve my current skill set, learn and share techniques, and inspire others. I am a seasoned member of the Replica Prop Forum and a Pro builder on the site Instructables. I had been a freelance illustrator for 15 years working on newspapers, magazines, and children's books. Back in 2012 I put my artistic abilities to a new medium, creating extremely detailed cosplay props and costumes. I am now known worldwide for my skill in bringing characters to life through cosplay. Best of all I have been recognized by and worked with video game powerhouses like EA, Microsoft, BioWare, Bungie, Gearbox and 2K Games. One of my coolest creations was an armor set from the hit RPG game Dragon Age Inquisition. It was so embraced by the community that it was flown to Norway and used by world renowned violinist Lindsey Stirling in her official Dragon Age music video. For this contest I created a full scale World of Warcraft Orc with a complete muscle suit, arm/leg extensions, and some serious armor. My Warcraft Orc placed 1st in the US Regional competition and took 3rd place in the World Championships. Last year I was a contestant on SyFy's new show Cosplay Melee!!! You can see my fast paced building skills on episode 4 War Games! And of course, I was the Grand Prize winner of the TwitchCon 2017 cosplay contest with my full scale Theron Guard costume.
