Hi friends! My name is Springbok, but you can call me Spring. I'm a sci-fi & fantasy author from South Africa. Writing and reading is my passion where I love to explore fictional worlds.
In my spare time, I love to play chess and learn French. When I get a chance, I like to chill out with video games. Story-driven adventures are my favourites and on the multiplayer scene I enjoy League of Legends and Street Fighter.

Who are your biggest influences as a writer?
- As a kid, I fell in love with scary tales from RL Stine and Michael Crichton. Nowadays, I get inspiration from the literary works of Haruki Murakami, Brandon Sanderson and Neil Gaiman and also from the creative minds of Lights, Bill Watterson and Bryan Lee O'Malley. And of course, the world of gaming played a huge role.
How did you get into gaming?
- I remember that Christmas where I tore the wrapping off my N64. I fell in love with revolutionary graphics, hectic gameplay and the wonderful characters. I spent hours each Saturday morning playing Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64 and GoldenEye 007. I've been a gamer ever since.
When will book three be released?
- Book three is a low fantasy, backpacking story. I finished writing it in early 2022 with a release date of spring 2023.
