I'm a 48 year old lifelong gamer from Australia who loves squad based shooters. I am married with 2 daughters and work in the field of IT services. Before March 2019 I would never have expected that live streaming video games would be something I would be doing. One day I decided to fire up Mixer on my Xbox and I soon found that it provided me with a platform to meet new people, have some laughs, discover a whole new way of gaming and it presented an opportunity to express my personality and creativity through my channel. After achieving the status of Mixer Partner I found myself on Twitch to continue my streaming journey.

I currently use OBS Studio for broadcasting my stream, an Elgato HD60 Pro capture card is used to capture the output of my Xbox One X. An innovative custom made (I'm a geek) scene management system running on a virtual server with Apache/HTML5/CSS enables the deployment of many overlay designs along with rapid changes to the theme of the scenes to reflect the featured game. An Elgato Stream Deck is used to switch these scenes during the stream. Visual effects, counters, leaderboards, channel and follower promotional information and general stream functionality is controlled with a larger Elgato Stream Deck XL which fires custom commands I have built using MixItUp and my custom made backend systems. Much of this functionality is also available to channel viewers via the use of Madness Points including the ability to change my webcam filters and background, change camera angles and on screen effects. I love the challenge of learning how to get the most out of these tools and strive to set new standards in viewer interaction and production quality. An Elgato Facecam 1080p webcam is used as my primary camera and 4 Logitech C922 webcams are used for my studio and controller cameras. My microphone is a HyperX Quadcast. My gaming PC is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32Gb RAM and a Gigabyte RTX3060 12Gb GPU, I have a streaming PC that is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5 5500, 16Gb RAM and a Gigabyte GTX1650 4Gb GPU and I use an old 'shitter' PC to run my wall board showing moderator actions, stream statistics and performance. I also use the Xbox One X console with an external SSD drive and an Elite v1 Controller.

I casually stream The Cycle: Frontier, Escape From Tarkov, Vigor, DayZ, Hunt Showdown, Apex Legends, PUBG, GTA V: RP, Squad, Zero Hour, Star Citizen and Battlefield. A high kill count is not my thing (the reaction times aren't what they used to be) but strategy, squad tactics and plenty of laughs is what you will find here. I generally play a support style role such as medic, designated driver, sacrificial lamb/bait and scout. Whilst I challenge myself to always improve my skills I am not too concerned with K/D and leaderboards. I analyze game replays and work hard to develop squad cohesion and identify combinations of squad members that can bring the best out in each other. I'm casual about my gaming but take it seriously at the same time, I get a winning result by employing a balance of stealth and aggression.

I always try to create a fun atmosphere in the channel for an 18+ audience whilst adhering to the Twitch Terms of Service, I ask that channel viewers show respect to me, the moderators and fellow channel viewers. Whilst adult related humor and interaction is part of this channel the following guidelines should be observed by all viewers: - No Political, Religious, Racist or Sexual derogatory comments are to be directed to anyone. - No mention of Age or Real Names. - Respect the authority of The Mad Maragan's appointed Moderators. - No Spamming in the Chat. - No Self-Promotion or Follow for Follow posts. Thanks to the incredible support of my followers, I have a platform to create awareness for causes that are important to myself and members of our community.
