Because you're nosy I'll tell you about myself. Hey Weirdo! My name is Halley aka WeirdGirl added with a 2 3 6 4 for the hell of it. I'm 22 years old, and when I was younger I wanted to work with animals but then my dad gave a Nintendo 64 and Game Cube. So yeah, that screwed up the whole working with animals idea. Currently I am attending college for writing and acting while also streaming on the side! It all started when I was watching Youtube and a Youtuber lead me to Twitch. If I never clicked on that video that said "Hey! I'm streaming on Twitch!" I wouldn't be where I am today. - Have patience - Get along with with the chat - Handle Spam Maturely - Time out people who deserve it - Never ban anyone unless this viewer won't stop after multiple timeouts (I Suggest after 3 to 4 timeouts, ban and be done) - depending on the situation - Get along with other mods even if you don't agree with what they do; if you have a problem with a certain mod, maturely talk to the broadcaster sharing your reasons why without making the situation worse for you, the other mod, or even the broadcaster. - If you're a mod and someone asks to be a mod, do not be rude to that person cause it's already bad enough this person is dumb enough to not know how it works(lul jk). Just explain to that person giving them advice a broadcaster would give them, "Be around for a long time, you might get noticed and the broadcaster will decide if he/she trusts you enough to give you the power of a mod." - Interact with the chat: you want to make the viewer feel welcomed and getting them into a conversation makes them want to stay. At the same time MAKE SURE you are watching over chat for something that shouldn't be there. Sometimes there are too many things going on and you'll be too busy talking to chat than doing your job. So try to get both at a limit where you can do both things at the same time.

A mod is simply someone a broadcaster trust to have the chat handled and taken care of by. For example - Trusted who to time out, ban, to set the slow mode, when to put on sub mode only (means only subs get to chat), to be respectful to viewers and other mods, to set commands for the broadcaster, not to overuse power given (Spam, time outs, bans, Caps, etc), and most importantly trusted to take care of any disrespect towards other viewers, mods, and the broadcaster.
