FAQ
**What's a TAS?**
TAS stands for Tool Assisted Speedrun. In essence, a TAS program allows 3 things; frame advance, which allows the player to play through the game frame by frame; save states, which allow the player to revert to previous states for another attempt; and recording/replay of the player's inputs.
Together this allows the player to optimize their inputs to beat the game as quickly as possible on a level beyond a normal human's ability.
**Why are you using Windows XP?**
Hourglass, the tool used to TAS Windows games, only works correctly on Windows XP. I use VMWare to run an XP virtual machine.
